This is a psychological thriller I was inspired to design after reading a seriously twisted story that left me on the edge so I collected my thoughts, hoped on photoshop, and whipped this up:
Here's what I used to create it:
A face:
A foggy wet window:
Random, but meaningful to the storyline text:
HELLO
GOODBYE
HELLO
GOODBYE
The title and author name were intentionally faded due to key message of losing oneself, and disappearing in plain sight occurring throughout the book. To be subtlely seen without truly being seen.
Overall the elements used to create the book were very simple. The images combined with the text easily complimented each other with the use of blending modes, clipping masks, drop shadows, and the like (the program I used is Photoshop, but Gimp is a great free alternative that can pretty much accomplish the same results).
All of the images used were completely free to use stock images from unsplash.com (personal as well as commercial use).
